Overview
A big old house on a quiet street, ten minutes from everything
Pacific Community Care has Supported Independent Living rooms available in a four-bedroom character home on Landale Street, Box Hill. The house dates from around 1910 and has the proportions to match high ceilings, generous rooms, an open fireplace in the lounge, and 170 square metres of living space on a 604 square metre block with a proper back garden.
What makes it work as a SIL home is the location. Box Hill Central, the train station and the bus interchange are about a kilometre north, a twelve-minute walk, or a few minutes in the car. Box Hill Hospital, Box Hill Gardens and the Box Hill Institute campus are all within a couple of kilometres. Very little of daily life here requires a long trip.
Support workers are on site around the clock. Landale Street itself is residential and quiet, which suits people who want to be close to a busy centre without living in the middle of one.
