About Individualised Living Options

A living arrangement as unique as you are

Individualised Living Options (ILO) is designed for people who want something different โ€” creative, flexible, and built entirely around their goals and lifestyle rather than a standard programme.

Whether that means living with a host family, a friend, in your own place with targeted support, or a co-residency arrangement โ€” ILO makes it possible. Pacific Community Care helps you design, implement, and sustain the arrangement that genuinely works for you.

Understanding the Support

What is an Individualised Living Option?

ILO is a flexible, participant-designed approach to home and living support. Unlike SIL, it is not tied to a specific housing model โ€” it is about finding the right arrangement for you, then building the right supports around it.

There are two components: ILO exploration (funded time to design your arrangement) and ILO implementation (the ongoing support to make it work). Pacific Community Care assists with both.

Who is this for?

“At Pacific Community Care, every support is built around the person โ€” not a programme. You tell us what matters; we make it happen.”

Participants with strong preferences

FAQs

Your questions answered .

Common questions about individualised living options (ilo) from Pacific Community Care.

SIL is rostered support in a managed home. ILO is more flexible โ€” host arrangements, co-residency, or drop-in support in any living situation you design.
Continuous support is generally not part of ILO. If you need ongoing rostered support, SIL may suit better.
Typically a few weeks to a few months, depending on your individual situation and goals.

ILO is reviewable. If a host arrangement breaks down or your needs change, we redesign including, if necessary, transitioning into a different support model like SIL.
