Short Term Accommodation โ A Break Well Deserved
Quality planned and emergency respite โ giving you and your family the break you need, with warm and skilled support every moment of your stay.
About STA & Respite
Respite that truly refreshes โ for everyone
Short Term Accommodation (STA) is NDIS funding that allows you to stay in supported accommodation away from your usual home for a short period. It is a break โ for you, for your family, and for your informal carers.
At Pacific Community Care, respite should feel like an experience, not a waiting room. Our STA environments are comfortable, welcoming, and staffed by workers chosen for warmth as much as skill.
Understanding the Support
What is Short Term Accommodation?
STA is funded under Core Supports and covers accommodation and support for up to 14 days at a time. It can be planned as regular scheduled breaks, or used for emergency situations when your usual support arrangement breaks down.
During your stay you receive the same support you would at home โ personal care, meals, daily activities, community access, and clinical needs โ all delivered by a team briefed on your needs before you arrive.
Who is this for?
- NDIS participants who want or need a short-term break from their usual home environment
- Families and informal carers who need a period of rest and recovery
- Participants whose regular support arrangement has unexpectedly broken down
- People exploring whether a different living arrangement might suit them long-term
