Who Manages My NDIS Plan?

Who manages my ndis plan

When you receive your NDIS plan, one of the most important decisions you’ll make is how your funding will be managed. This affects how you pay providers, how flexible your choices are, and how much control you have over your services.

There are three main ways an NDIS plan can be managed:

1. NDIA-Managed (Agency Managed)

The NDIA pays providers directly through the NDIS portal. You can only use NDIS-registered providers, and most of the admin is handled for you. This is the easiest option for people who don’t want to manage payments themselves.

2. Plan-Managed

A Plan Manager (like Pacific Community Care’s plan management team) pays your providers for you. You get the freedom to use both registered and non-registered providers, while someone else handles invoices and bookkeeping.

3. Self-Managed

You receive full control and responsibility over your budget. You pay providers yourself and claim reimbursement from the NDIS. This option offers the most flexibility, but also requires the most organisation.

Which Option Is Best?

  • Choose NDIA-Managed if you want less admin.

  • Choose Plan-Managed if you want flexibility and support.

  • Choose Self-Managed if you prefer full control.

At Pacific Community Care (PCC), we can assist with plan management or support coordination to help you make the most of whichever option you choose.
